Special Projects


UN resolutions, reports and treaties are the foundation of today’s global human rights regime – but their power only stretches so far. Promoting rights requires more than pointing to a piece of paper; it also demands creativity. Starting in 2014, the Special Rapporteur began exploring ways to expand his mandate’s reach beyond the traditional methods. The result was the start of a collection of joint projects with partners that use innovative methods to advance the rights to freedom of peaceful assembly and of association.
